Mezzanine Shelving Floor

Raised storage platforms can feature uninterrupted floor areas or aisles (catwalks) between or around various storage systems. These platforms may have one or multiple levels, accessed by stairways, while goods are often moved via mechanical means like conveyors or forklifts. Mezzanines are generally categorized as structural (longspan), supported by pallet racks or shelving, or as bin-on-bin (stacked or hi-rise shelving units connected by catwalks).

• Increase storage capacity without forklifts;

• utilize the system to support the upper level.

• Construct a platform for manual picking operations.

• Unique structures may have limited salvage value.

• Ensure access for manual order selectors to aid in picking.

• Additional lighting and/or sprinkler installation may be necessary.
